Here's how to capture a screenshot on your Galaxy Tab A 8.0.
  1. To capture a screenshot, at the same time press and hold the
    Power and Volume down buttons
     on the right side of your device.
    To capture hidden areas, tap the
    Smart Capture icon
     Smart capture icon.
  2. The image automatically saves in your Gallery app, navigate:
    Gallery
    Albums
    Screenshots
