Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0) - Stop Running Apps

Here's how to stop running apps if they freeze / hang or cause your Galaxy Tab A (8.0) to crash, reset or run slowly.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps
    .
  3. If available, ensure 'All' is selected (upper-left).
    If necessary, tap the
    Dropdown icon
     Dropdown menu icon (upper-left) then select
    All
    .
  4. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Show system apps
    .
  5. Tap
    Force stop
    .
  6. To confirm, review the message then tap
    OK
    .
