Google Pixel 3 / 3 XL - Customize Your Home Screen
Personalizing the Home screen on your Pixel 3 / 3 XL makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.
Add Apps
- From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
- Touch and hold an app.
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
Add Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWidgets.
- Touch and hold a widget.
- Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
- If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.Options vary depending on the type of widget.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email, Contacts, etc.).
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail, Calendar, etc.).A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). To rename the folder:
- Tap the folder.
- Tap theTitle barat the bottom of the open folder.
- Enter a name then tap theCheckmark icon.
To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
Remove Apps / Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.).
- Drag-and-drop the item onto 'Remove' at the top of the screen.
Set Wallpaper
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWallpaper & style.
- TapChange wallpaperthen select the wallpaper category from the available folders (e.g., My photos, Landscapes, etc.).
- Select an image, then choose an option to preview:
- Home screen
- Lock screen
- Tap theDone iconthen select an option:
- Lock screen
- Home and lock screen
