Here's how to delete email messages from your Pixel 3a / 3a XL.
All email is managed through Gmail™. You're prompted to use Gmail the first time Email is selected.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Tap
    Gmail
     Gmail icon.
  3. Ensure the appropriate email address is selected:
    1. Tap the
      Switch account icon switch accounts
      (upper-right).
    2. Tap the appropriate email address.
  4. Tap the appropriate message.
  5. Tap the
    Delete icon Delete icon
    (upper-right).
