Here's how to view, open or close recently used apps on your Pixel 3a / 3a XL.
  1. To view the most recently used apps, from a Home screen, swipe up to and scroll through the list of apps.
  2. To 'Open' or 'Close':
    • Open: Scroll to and tap the desired app(s) in the list.
    • Close: Scroll through the apps then swipe up.
    • Close all: Scroll to the last screen on the left then tap
