Customize Your Home ScreenPersonalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy A50 makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.
Add Apps
- From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
- Touch and hold an app.
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.
Add Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWidgets.
- Touch and hold a widget.
- Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.
- If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email, etc.).
- Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Calendar, etc.) to create a folder.
- Do one of the following:
- To rename a folder:
- Tap the folder.
- Enter the new name then tapDone.
- To remove a folder:
- Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
Remove Apps / Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, folder, etc.) until the menu appears then release.
- Tap the applicable option:
- Select items
- Remove from Home
- Uninstall
- Disable
- App info
Set Wallpaper
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
- TapWallpaper.
- From the 'Choose a wallpaper' section, do one of the following:
- To use an existing wallpaper image:
- TapMy wallpapers.
- Select a wallpaper image from the list.
- Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
- If prompted, tapSync my edits.
- TapSet on Home and lock screensto confirm.
- To use an image from your gallery:
- TapGallery.
- Locate then select the preferred picture.
- TapDone.
- Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
- If prompted, tapSync my edits.
- TapSet on Home and lock screensto confirm.
