Set Lock Screen Notifications

Choose whether messages and alerts show in full, remain private or stay silent while the screen on your Galaxy A50 is locked.

Before you begin

Lock screen notifications are only available if a screen lock is enabled.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Lock screen
    Notifications
    .
  3. Tap the
    Notifications switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. With the Notifications switch turned on, configure any of the following:
    • View Style (e.g., Detailed, Icons only, etc.)
    • Tap
      Hide content
       to turn on or off.
    • Notifications to show (e.g., Alert and silent notifications, Alert notifications only, etc.).
    • Tap
      Show on Always on Display
       to turn on or off.
    • Tap
      Auto-reverse text color
       to turn on or off (doesn't appear when View style is set to Icons only).
