moto z4 - Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your moto z4 to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages and connect to the internet.

If using a physical SIM card, make sure a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.

To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.

Press and hold the

until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap

START

Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap

Connect to a Wi-Fi network.

To copy apps and data, tap

to transfer your content now or tap

Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Google Drive, Location, etc.).

Set up a screen lock and face or fingerprint recognition to secure your device.

To configure voice services with the Google Assistant, tap

and follow the prompts to set up.

Configure any of the other services (email, font size, wallpaper, etc.) or tap
