moto z4 - Change Network Mode

If your moto z4 drops calls due to being near a network border, locking onto a specific network can help; however, roaming charges may apply.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Mobile Network
    Preferred network type
    .
  3. Tap the appropriate setting:
    • Global
      : This is the preferred setting for most locations.
    • LTE/CDMA
      : This setting should only be selected if experiencing service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only LTE/CDMA is needed.
    • LTE/GSM/UMTS
      : This setting should only be selected if experiencing service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only GSM/UMTS is needed.
      The preferred international carrier is automatically selected. To manually select an alternate carrier:
      1. Tap
        Advanced
        .
      2. Tap the
        Automatically select network switch
        to turn off.
      3. Select a carrier.
        It may require as many as 6 registration attempts with that carrier before successful registration.
