Orbic® Journey™ V / Orbic Journey - Manage Wireless Emergency Alerts

Here's how to manage emergency alerts (e.g., AMBER Alerts, etc.) for your Journey V / Journey.
  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  2. Navigate:
    Tools & Settings
    Settings
    Wireless & Networks
    .
  3. Select
    Emergency Alerts
    .
  4. Press the
    left soft key
     Soft key to choose Settings.
  5. Highlight 'Receive alerts', press the
    center button
     then highlight preferred alert to add a checkmark Red checkmark:
    National alerts can't be turned off.
    • State/local test
    • Public safety messages
    • AMBER Alert
    • Severe Alert
    • Extreme alert
  6. Highlight one of the following alerts, select 'On' or 'Off' then select
    Set
    :
    • Receive Spanish alerts
    • Cell broadcast message
  7. Highlight 'Notification settings', select 'On' or 'Off' then select
    Set
    :
    • Notifications
    • Sound
    • Vibrate
    • Alert reminder
    • Speak alert message
  8. Select
    Show opt-out dialog
    , highlight an option then select
    Set
    :
    • On
    • Off
