Before you begin

To pefrom the steps below, ensure an SD / memory card is inserted into your smartphone and that it isn't connected to a computer with a USB cable.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app

  2. Navigate:
    Battery and device care
    Storage
    .
  3. Tap the
    3-dot Menu
     then select
    Advanced
    .
  4. Tap the name of the SD / memory card.
  5. Tap
    Format
    .
  6. Review the disclaimer then tap
    Format SD card
