 Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your Galaxy A10e to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face recognition
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Review the info about face recognition then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed on the screen.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. From the Face recognition menu, tap any of the switch(es) to turn on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Faster recognition, etc.).
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the Face recognition menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer, then tap
        Remove
        .
