Before you begin

iPhone without a Home button

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     and either
    Volume button
    .
  2. When the power off prompt appears, release buttons.
  3. Slide the
    Power Off slider
     right and wait approximately 30 seconds for the device to power off.
  4. To turn the device on, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the Apple logo appears then release.

iPhone with a Home button

     until the power off appears then release.
