Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G / Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your your Galaxy S20+ 5G / Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture-free.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Security and privacy
    Biometrics
    .
  3. Tap
    Fingerprints
     then tap
    Continue
     if prompted.
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. Perform one of the following:
    • First Time Setup
      1. Review the message then tap
        Register
        .
      2. Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process is complete.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. Tap the
        Fingerprint unlock switch
         to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon.
    • Add More Fingerprints
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
        Up to 4 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
      2. Review the message then tap
        Register
        .
      3. Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process is complete.
      4. Tap 'Done' if finished or 'Add' to continue adding fingerprints.
    • Remove Fingerprint(s)
      1. Touch and hold a fingerprint (e.g., Fingerprint 1, Fingerprint 2, etc.) until a blue checkmark appears.
      2. Select any additional fingerprints to delete.
        To delete all fingerprints, tap
        All
         (upper-left)
      3. Tap
        Remove
         (at the bottom).
      4. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
