If your Galaxy S20+ 5G / S20 Ultra 5G is low on storage, use an SD card for extra space. Follow these steps to insert or remove it without losing data.

Before you begin

Ensure your device is powered off.

Steps

  1. From the top-left edge of the device with the display facing up, remove the card tray.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To insert an SD / memory card: Ensure the gold contacts facing down then press in on the tray to lock into place.
    • To remove an SD / memory card: Use the opening on the opposite side of the tray to dislodge (using a fingernail or similar tool).
  3. Re-insert the card tray.
