Manage Wireless Emergency Alerts

Emergency alerts keep you updated on situations like severe weather, public safety threats, AMBER alerts, etc. Set your Galaxy A51 to receive only the alerts you want.

Before you begin

National alerts can't be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Advanced settings
    Wireless emergency alerts
    .
  3. Tap
    Allow alerts
     to turn on or off.
  4. When turned on, select any of the following:
    • Extreme threats
    • Severe threats
    • AMBER alerts
    • Public safety messages
    • State and local tests
  5. From the 'Alert preferences' section, configure the following:
    • Vibration
    • Alert reminder
    • Spanish
    • Speak alert message
