Samsung Galaxy S20 5G UW - Manage RTT Settings

Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) feature on your Galaxy S20 5G UW.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accessibility
    Hearing enhancements
    Real Time Text
    .
  3. Tap
    RTT call button
    .
  4. Select the preferred setting:
    • Visible during calls
      : Show the RTT call button Phone icon only during RTT calls.
    • Always visible
      : Show the RTT call button on the keypad and during all calls.
  1. With RTT enabled, from a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
    .
    If unavailable, swipe up from the center of the display then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • From the Keypad tab (lower-left), enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      RTT call icon
       RTT call icon at the bottom of the screen.
    • From the Contacts tab (lower-right), select a contact then tap the
      RTT call icon
      .
