Samsung Galaxy Watch3 - Set Up as a Standalone Device
Here's how to set up your Galaxy Watch3 as a standalone device.
- While used with a standalone plan, the Galaxy Watch3 won't require an Android™® smartphone or Apple® iPhone®to function after initial activation but does require the phone for certain options (e.g., software updates, email, etc.).
- Standalone mode can't be used with Number Share and provides limited functionality.Continue to use in conjunction with a companion smartphone for maximum functionality.
- Ensure your Galaxy Watch3 has been set up using a QR code with an Android smartphone or Apple iPhone.If you're upgrading or replacing your Galaxy Watch3, refer to Replace Existing Device.
- If necessary, press theHome buttonto begin.
- From the 'Let's go' screen, swipe up.
- TapMore infoto continue.May require scrolling to the bottom of the page.If no mobile network has been set up, 'More info' will be replaced with a question mark icon

- Scroll to the bottom, then taphere(underlined, in white).
- Review the notice tapContinue.
- Review the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, tapAgree.
- To continue, review and agree (check) to the following then tapNext:
- HERE platform Service Terms and Privacy Policy
- Send diagnostic data
- Information Linking
- From the 'Samsung account' screen, tapNext.If you choose 'Skip', you can add a Samsung account after setup is complete.
- From the 'Connect to mobile' screen, tapNEXT.If you chose 'Not now', the watch will not be connected to cellular service. Skip to step 14.
- From the 'Select mobile plan' screen, tap the desired plan set up in step 1 then tapNEXT.Options will vary.
- If prompted, tapNextfrom the 'Now you can call and text on your watch' screen.
- From the 'Create PIN' screen, tapNext.
- Enter a 4-digit PIN then enter the 4-digit PIN again to confirm.
