Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Note20 5G / Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag-and-drop the app onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap the applicable app.
  4. Touch and hold a widget.
  5. Drag-and-drop the app onto the preferred Home screen location.
  6. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Email, My Verizon, etc.).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Calendar) to add an unnamed folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap the
        Folder Name
        .
      2. Enter or edit the name then tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.) until the menu appears then release.
  2. Tap
    Remove
    .

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
    .
  3. Tap
    Browse my wallpapers
    .
  4. Tap a category (e.g., Gallery, Graphical, Colors, etc.).
  5. Select a wallpaper image from the list or the preferred picture from your gallery.
  6. Select which screen(s) to apply your new wallpaper (Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens) then tap
    Preview
    .
  7. Tap
    Done
    .
  8. If desired, tap
    Color palette
     then configure as preferred.
  9. Tap
    Apply Dark mode to Wallpaper
     to turn on or off.
