Your Galaxy Note20 5G / Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G lets you combine or separate multiple contacts that were saved with different details or appear as duplicates.

Before you begin

The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (e.g., Gmail™, Microsoft® Exchange, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Do any of the following:
    • To link a contact:
      1. Tap the
        3-line Menu icon
        .
      2. Tap
        Manage contacts
        .
      3. Tap
        Merge contacts
        .
      4. Select the contacts to link.
      5. Tap
        Merge
        .
    • To unlink a contact:
      1. Select a linked contact.
      2. Tap
        Storage locations
        .
      3. Tap
        Unlink all
        .
