Move Media Files to / from Computer

Connecting your Galaxy Note20 5G / Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G to a computer allows you to move photos, videos or music to free up storage space or back them up to make sure your files are safe.

Before you begin

For an alternate media management solution, check out Verizon Cloud.
If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is required in order to transfer files.

Steps

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap
    Allow
    .
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the
      Status Bar
      then drag to the bottom.
    2. From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging, USB for image transfer, etc.).
    3. Select
      File transfer
      .
  3. From your computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
  4. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, navigate:
    Galaxy Note20
    Phone
    .
  5. Use the computer to copy media files between the applicable folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera, Download, Movies, etc.) on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
