Unused apps take up storage space and slow down your Pixel 4a. Uninstalling apps you don't need can improve performance and reduce clutter.

Before you begin

Apps included with the Android™ operating system may not have an uninstall option. Some of those apps can be disabled; however, doing so may cause related apps to malfunction.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Apps
    See all apps
    .
  3. Locate then select the applicable app.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To uninstall an app:
      1. Tap
        Uninstall
        .
      2. Review the notification then tap
        OK
         to confirm.
    • To uninstall app updates:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu
        .
      2. Tap
        Uninstall updates
        .
      3. Review the notification then tap
        OK
         to confirm.
