Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy A51 5G UW makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From the Apps screen, touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag the app to the top of the screen, then drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap the widget you want to use.
  4. Tap
    Add
    .
  5. Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Calendar).
  2. Dragan-drop the app onto another app (e.g., Gmail) to create a new folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap the folder.
      2. Tap
        Folder name
        .
      3. Enter a name then tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, apps, etc.).
  2. Tap
    Remove
    .
    Some pre-installed apps (e.g., Gmail, Gallery, etc.) can't be deleted from a Home screen.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap
        My Wallpapers
        :
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      4. Tap
        Set on.... screen(s)
        .
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture(s) (up to 15).
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      5. Tap
        Set on.... screen(s)
