Here's how to check for and install software updates on your Pixel 4a 5G UW.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    System
    System update
    .
  3. From the 'System update history' prompt, tap
    Check for update
    .
  4. If prompted, tap
    OK
    .
  5. If an update is available, tap
    Download
    .
    If prompted with 'Your system is up to date', no update is necessary.
  • If the device gets stuck in the boot-up process after installing an update, a factory data reset is required. Make sure the Google™ credentials are known prior to doing the reset as they are required to complete the reset process.
