Here's how to turn permissions for installed apps on your Orbic Maui on or off.
If you need to turn app permissions for your Orbic® Maui™ on or off, which gives you the ability to customize and control which capabilities you give apps, follow these step-by-step instructions.
- Downloaded apps designed for Android™ only ask for permission the first time you use a feature rather than asking for permissions out of context.
- Turning off certain permissions may result in basic features no longer working as intended.
- From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
- Navigate:Settings
>
Apps & notifications. - TapAdvanced.
- TapPermissions manager.
- Tap the appropriate permission type to modify (e.g., Body Sensors, Microphone, Location, etc.).
- Perform the following:
- From the 'ALLOWED ALL THE TIME' section:
- Tap any of the available apps (e.g., Google Play Services, My Verizon, etc.)
- Tap one of the following:
- Allow only while using the app
- DenyIf selecting 'Deny', from the 'If you deny this permission...' prompt, tap 'CANCEL' or 'DENY ANYWAY'.
- From the 'ALLOWED ONLY WHILE IN USE' section:
- Tap any of the available apps (e.g., Google Play Services, My Verizon, etc.)
- Tap one of the following:
- Allow all the timeNot available for all apps.
- DenyIf selecting 'Deny', from the 'If you deny this permission...' prompt, tap 'CANCEL' or 'DENY ANYWAY'.
- From the 'DENIED' section:
