Reset your Galaxy Galaxy S21 5G / S21+ 5G / S21 Ultra 5G to factory settings as a final troubleshooting step, or an easy way to erase your data if you're upgrading or trading your device in.

Before you begin

An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

If troubleshooting third-party apps, don't restore app data.

Perform a factory data reset only if necessary as it removes your Google™ account and all data including system data, app data and media.

Music, pictures and videos can be backed up to a computer.

Personal data (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, etc.) can be backed up to Google's servers.

Steps

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

General management

Reset

Factory data reset

Review the info then tap

Reset

Tap

Delete all

then allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
