Emergency alerts keep you updated on situations like severe weather, public safety threats, AMBER alerts, etc. Set your Galaxy S21 5G / S21+ 5G / S21 Ultra 5G to receive only the alerts you want.

Before you begin

National alerts can't be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Advanced settings
    Wireless emergency alerts
    .
  3. Tap the
    Allow alerts switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. With the Allow alerts switch turned on, tap any of the following to turn on or off:
    • Extreme alerts
    • Severe alerts
    • AMBER alerts
    • Public safety messages
    • State and local test
