Kyocera DuraForce Ultra 5G UW - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your DuraForce Ultra 5G UW to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secure remote server.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Network & internet

VPN

Tap the Add icon

If presented with a lock screen notification, tap

Set lock

Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.

From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.

If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.

From the Type field, PPTP encryption is selected by default. If another encryption type is preferred, tap the

dropdown menu

then select the VPN type.

Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap

SAVE

If applicable, tap

Show advanced options

to configure the following options, which may vary depending on the selected VPN type:

If PPP encryption (MPPE) is the preferred connection, enter the

Username

and

Password

DNS search domains

DNS servers

Forwarding routes

Proxy

Username

Password
