moto g power - Activate / Set Up Device

These steps guide you through setting up and customizing your moto g power for everyday use.

Before you begin

Ensure a SIM card is inserted prior to powering on your phone.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Start
    .
  2. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  4. Turn privacy and security features on or off then tap
    Accept & continue
    .
  5. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  6. Sign in with your Google™ Account or create a new one.
  7. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Google Drive, Location, etc.).
  8. Set up a screen lock and fingerprint recognition to secure your device.
  9. To configure voice services with the Google Assistant, tap
    I Agree
    .
  10. Configure any of the other services (YouTube Music, email, font size, wallpaper, etc.) or tap
    No thanks
    .
  11. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and App info, tap
    Accept
    .
  12. Tap
    Agree
     or
    Accept
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  13. Set your Motorola service preferences then tap
    Accept & continue
    .
  14. Tap
    Got it
     to complete the activation and exit setup.
