Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) functionality on your moto g power (2021).
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Accessibility
    Real Time Text (RTT) Call
    .
  3. Tap the
    Show RTT keyboard during calls switch
    to turn on on icon or off off icon.
    If prompted, review confirmation then tap
    OK
    .
    When RTT is enabled on both devices no audio is heard on the call. If you aren't hearing audio make sure RTT is turned off.
  1. With RTT enabled, from a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
    Phone icon.
    If unavailable, swipe up to access all apps then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • From the Favorites or Recents tab, tap the
      Keypad icon
      keypad icon, enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      RTT icon
      RTT call icon (lower-right).
    • From the Contacts or Recents tab, select a contact then tap the
      RTT call icon
      RTT call icon.
  1. While on a call, tap the
    Menu icon
    Menu icon (upper-right) then select
    Show RTT keyboard
    .
  1. While on a call, tap the
    End call icon
    End RTT call icon (upper-left).
