Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Z Fold3 5G makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From the Apps screen, touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag the shortcut to the top of the screen then drop it onto the preferred Home screen.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap the widget then tap
    Add
    .
  4. Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen.
  5. If applicable, tap another options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Calendar).
  2. Drag-and-drop the app onto another app (e.g., Gmail™) to create a folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename a folder:
      1. Tap the folder.
      2. Tap the
        Title bar
         at the top of the open folder.
      3. Enter a name then tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, apps, etc.).
  2. Tap
    Remove
    .
    Some pre-installed apps (e.g., Gmail, Gallery, etc.) can't be deleted from a Home screen.
    Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
    .
  3. From the Wallpaper and style screen, tap
    Change wallpapers
     then do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap any of the following:
        • Featured
        • Graphical
        • Colors
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select an option (Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      4. Tap
        Next
        .
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
      6. If prompted, select an option to change the color palette.
      7. To confirm, tap
        Apply
         (at the bottom).
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      3. Select an option (Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      4. Tap
        Next
        .
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
