Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Galaxy Book Go 5G to get started. This ensures you can connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Your Galaxy Book Go 5G ships without a physical SIM card and can be activated using an eSIM or physical SIM; only one SIM can be active at a time. If using eSIM wait for the eSIM profile to automatically download. If it doesn't download, refer to Add a Cellular Plan Using an eSIM.
If using a physical SIM card, make sure there's a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on then select the SIM as the default cellular data number after setup is complete.

Steps

  1. From the keyboard, press the
    Power button
     until the device powers on.
  2. Select a region and the preferred keyboard layout, then select
    Yes
    .
  3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  4. Review the Windows License Agreement then select
    Accept
    .
  5. Enter a name for your device then select
    Next
  6. Sign in with Microsoft, select
    Sign in
     then enter an email address, phone or Skype account.
  7. If prompted with 'Select a device to restore from', select the preferred option:
    • Restore from this PC
    • Set up as a new PC
  8. Select
    Create PIN
    , enter a PIN, re-enter the PIN then select
    OK
    .
  9. Choose the privacy settings for your device then click
    Accept
    .
  10. Customize your experience, select the preferred experience then click
    Accept
    .
  11. Allow a few minutes for the device to complete setup.
