Before you begin

National alerts can't be disabled.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Advanced Settings
    Wireless emergency alerts
    .
  3. Tap the
    Allow alerts switch
     to turn on, then select any of the following to turn on or off:
    • Extreme threats
    • Severe threats
    • AMBER alerts
    • Public safety messages
    • State and local tests
    • Vibration
    • Spanish
    • Speak alert message
