Kyocera DuraSport 5G UW - Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your DuraSport 5G UW makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From the Apps screen, touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut to the preferred Home screen.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space on the screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.
    Options vary depending on the type of widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Calendar).
  2. Drag the app onto another app (e.g., Gmail) then release it.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap the folder.
      2. Tap the
        Title bar
         at the bottom of the open folder.
      3. Enter a name then tap the
        Checkmark icon
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, apps, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to 'Uninstall' or 'Remove' (top-center) then release.
    Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.
    Some pre-installed apps (e.g., Gmail™ , Gallery, etc.) can't be deleted from a Home screen.

Set Wallpaper

  1. Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper & style
    .
  3. Tap
    Change wallpaper
     then do one of the following:
    • Select an image from Photos:
      1. Tap
        My photos
        .
      2. Navigate to the appropriate folder and select an image.
      3. Preview the desired image then tap
        SET WALLPAPER
        .
    • Select a default image:
      1. Tap one of the wallpaper categories (e.g., Live Wallpaper Picker, Preset, etc.) and select an image.
      2. Preview the desired image then tap the
        Checkmark icon
         to confirm.
      3. From the 'Set wallpaper on' screen, choose
        Lock screen or Home an lock screens
         to set.
