If your Pixel 6 / 6 Pro drops calls due to being near a network border, locking onto a specific network can help; however, roaming charges may apply.

Before you begin

This setting is turned on by default and should only be turned off if needed. Turning off this setting may impact your service.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    SIMs
    .
  3. Tap the SIM name (e.g., Verizon, etc.).
  4. From the Network section, tap the
    Automatically select network switch
     to turn on or off:
    If the 'Select automatically' setting is turned off, follow the onscreen prompts to select an available network.
