Manage RTT Settings

Use RTT to text in real time on calls from your Galaxy S21 FE 5G. This can help with hearing or speech issues or if you prefer typing.

Change RTT Visibility

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accessibility
    Hearing enhancements
    Real Time Text
    .
  3. Tap the
    RTT call button
     then select the preferred setting:
    • Visible during calls
      : Shows the RTT call button only during RTT calls.
    • Always visible
      : Shows the RTT call button whenever you make and receive all calls.

Make a Call with RTT

  1. With RTT set to Always visible, open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • From the Keypad tab, enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      RTT call icon
      .
    • From the Contacts tab in the lower right, select a contact then tap the
      RTT call icon
      .

Switch a Call to RTT

  1. While on a call, do one of the following:
    • With RTT set to Visible during calls:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu icon
        .
      2. Tap
        Show RTT keyboard
        .
    • With RTT set to Always visible:
      1. Tap
        Real Time Text
        .

End an RTT Call

  1. While on a call, tap
    End
    .
