Before you begin

To perform the steps below, ensure an SD / memory card is inserted and the phone isn't connected to a computer via the USB cable.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app

  2. Navigate:
    Battery and device care
    Storage
    .
  3. Swipe left to view SD card storage.
  4. Tap the
    3-dot Menu
    .
  5. Tap
    Format
     then allow several seconds for the process to complete.
