Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your Galaxy A03s to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security and Privacy
    Biometrics
    Face Recognition
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Review the info about face recognition then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed on-screen.
      3. Tap the
        Stay on Lock screen until swipe
         to turn on or off then tap
        Done
        .
      4. Tap the switch(es) to turn each option on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen until swipe, etc.) then tap
        OK
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
