Set Up and Use Bixby - Samsung (Android 11.x and higher)

Here's how to set up and use Bixby on your Samsung smartphone running Android 11 or higher.

Bixby requires an active Samsung ID to be added to the Samsung device running on Android™.

If the Samsung ID credentials can't be remembered, they can be retrieved or reset.

Bixby Voice requires simplified view. If prompted, tap

to continue using Bixby.

Set Up Bixby

Press and hold the

Power button

to open Bixby.

For first time setup:

Tap

From the 'Samsung Account' screen, enter the appropriate info then tap

Enter the email or phone number for the Samsung account then tap

Enter the password then tap

To continue, review the Terms and Conditions then tap

Agree

If prompted to complete Two-step verification, enter the code received on the alternate device then tap

Verify

Tap

Continue

If prompted, select a voice style then tap

Continue

To continue, review the list of required permissions then tap

To wake Bixby perform one of the following:

Press and hold the

Power / side button

Say "Hi Bixby".

Swipe down on the notifications menu twice, and then tap on the

Power icon

(upper-right).

From the power menu, tap 'Side Key setting' or 'Side button settings' (at the bottom).

From the Press and hold section, perform one of the following:

Selected when a blue bot is present.

Tap

Wake Bixby

Tap

Power off menu
