Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To connect to an available Wi-Fi Network:
      1. Tap the preferred network.
      2. Enter the appropriate password then tap
        Connect
        .
    • To manually connect to a Wi-Fi Network:
      1. Tap
        Add network
        .
      2. From the Network name field, enter the appropriate name.
      3. Tap the
        Security field
         then tap the appropriate security option (e.g., None, WEP, WPA/WPA2-Personal, etc.).
      4. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
      5. Tap
        View more
         and ensure additional settings (e.g., IP settings, Proxy, etc.) are configured appropriately.
      6. Tap
        Save
        .
    • Remove a Wi-Fi Connection
      1. Tap the
        Settings gear icon
         next to the Wi-Fi network you wish to remove.
      2. Tap
        Forget
        .
