Restarting your Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G in Safe Mode puts it into a diagnostic state that only runs system apps so you can determine if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.

Before you begin

An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the press and hold the
    Power/Side
     and
    Volume down buttons
     until the Power off prompt appears on the screen then release.
  2. Touch and hold
    Power off
     until the Safe mode prompt appears then release.
  3. To confirm, tap the
    Safe mode icon
    .
    This process may take up to 45 seconds to complete.
    Upon reboot, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
  5. To exit Safe Mode, restart the device.
