Manage Home Screen Settings

Organizing the Home screen on your Galaxy S22 / S22+ / S22 Ultra makes it easier to use. Resize the grid, move apps and hide unnecessary apps for faster access to your most-used features.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Home screen
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • To select the Home screen layout:
      1. Tap
        Home screen layout
        .
      2. Select an option (Home and Apps screens, Home screen only).
      3. Tap
        Apply
        .
    • To adjust the number of apps shown on Home screen:
      1. Tap the
        Home screen grid
        .
      2. Select an option (e.g., 4x6, 5x6) at the bottom.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
    • To adjust the number of apps shown on apps screen:
      1. Tap
        Apps screen grid
        .
      2. Select an option (4x6, 5x6) at the bottom.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. To rearrange icons and remove empty space(s):
        1. From the apps screen, tap the
          3-dot Menu icon
          .
        2. Tap
          Clean up pages
          .
        3. Tap
          OK
           then tap
          Apply
          .
    • To add / remove apps button on Home screen:
      1. Tap
        Show Apps screen button on Home screen
         to turn on or off.
    • To hide apps:
      1. Tap
        Hide apps on the Home and Apps screens
        .
      2. Select the preferred app(s).
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
