Activate your Galaxy A13 to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.

Before you begin

If you have a phsyical SIM card, ensure the 5G SIM card is inserted before turning the device on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device begins to power on. Select your language then tap
    Start
    .
  2. Review the Terms and Privacy info, then tap
    Agree
    .
  3. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next
    .
  4. To set up your phone using an old phone, select
    Galaxy or Android device
     or
    iPhone or iPad
    . Otherwise, tap
    Set up manually
    .
  5. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  6. Complete the activation steps as prompted then tap
    Next
    .
  7. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  8. Sign in to your Google™ account or create a new one.
  9. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Gemini, Location, etc.).
  10. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprints to secure your device.
  11. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and Apps info, tap
    Accept
    .
  12. Tap
    Agree
     or
    Accept
     to add additional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  13. Sign in to your Samsung account to access Galaxy-specific features.
  14. Tap
    Done
     to complete setup.
