Emergency alerts keep you updated on situations like severe weather, public safety threats, AMBER alerts, etc. Set your Pixel 6a to receive only the alerts you want.

Before you begin

National alerts cannot be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Wireless emergency alerts
    .
  3. Tap any of the following to turn on or off:
    • Extreme threats
    • Severe threats
    • AMBER alerts
    • Public safety messages
    • State and local tests
    • Vibration
    • Spanish
  4. Tap
    Alert reminder
     then select an option (e.g., Once, Every 2 minutes, etc.).
