SHARP ROUVO V - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your ROUVO V.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security
    Screen lock
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
    If prompted to add a Google™ account:
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Set up Pattern
      1. Tap
        Pattern
        .
      2. Review the info then select 'Require pattern to turn on phone' or 'No thanks'.
      3. Tap
        Continue
        .
      4. Draw an unlock pattern that connects at least 4 dots then tap
        Next
        .
      5. Draw the same pattern again then tap
        Confirm
        .
      6. If prompted, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Set up PIN
      1. Tap
        PIN
        .
      2. From the 'Secure start-up' screen, tap YES or NO.
      3. If presented with the PIN policy screen, tap
        OK
        .
      4. Enter a numeric PIN between 4 to 16 digits then tap
        Next
        .
      5. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
        OK
        .
      6. If prompted, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Set up Password
      1. Tap
        Password
        .
      2. From the 'Secure start-up' screen, tap YES or NO.
      3. If presented with the Password policy screen, tap
        OK
        .
      4. Enter a password between 4 to 16 characters then tap
        Next
        .
      5. Re-enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
      6. If prompted, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Disable Screen Lock
      1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
      2. To confirm, tap
        DELETE
