One Talk CP920 IP Conference Phone
Check Internet Connectivity

Your One Talk CP920 IP conference phone requires an internet connection to function. Follow these steps to confirm your phone is connected and ready for use.

Before you begin

The following is provided for informational purposes only. Contact your IT admin to verify the following info.
Verifying the IP address on the desk phone ensures the phone is communicating with the router; this doesn't necessarily mean the phone has access to the internet. See One Talk Ports and Protocols for correct internet settings on the router and desk phone.
If the desk phone doesn't display an IP address, contact your IT admin to ensure the desk phone is allowed to communicate over the business network.

Steps

  1. Check for proper installation:
    1. If not connected via Power over Ethernet (PoE), ensure the phone is properly plugged into a functional AC outlet.
    2. Ensure the Ethernet cable is plugged into the Ethernet port on the back of the phone, or the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
    3. If not receiving an IP address from the router, try using a different Ethernet port.
    4. Ensure the switch or hub in your network is operational.
  2. From the idle screen, navigate:
    Menu
    Status
then view the IPv4 or IPv6 address.
Confirm the IP Address with your system administrator.
  3. If necessary, change the IP settings on the device to use only IPv4:
    1. From the idle screen, navigate:
      Menu
      Settings
      Advanced
      .
    2. Enter the admin password then press
      OK
      .
      Default password: admin
    3. Select
      Network
      .
    4. Select the appropriate network interface (e.g., WAN Port, 802.1x Settings, etc.).
    5. Use the
left and right arrow soft keys
      to select
      IPv4 Only
      .
    6. Press
      Save
      .
