Your motorola edge - 2022 lets you combine or separate multiple contacts that were saved with different details or appear as duplicates.

Before you begin

The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (e.g., Gmail™, Facebook®, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Tap a contact then do one of the following:
    • To link a contact:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu
        .
      2. Tap
        Link
        .
        If a link has previously been created, tap
        View linked contacts
         then select
        Add
        .
      3. Tap the contact to link then tap the
        Back arrow
         to return to the previous page.
    • To unlink a contact:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu
        .
      2. Tap
        View linked contacts
         then tap
        Unlink
        .
      3. From the 'Unlink this contact?' prompt, tap
        Unlink
         to confirm.
