Set up fingerprint recognition on your motorola edge - 2022 for fast, secure access. Remove saved fingerprints when troubleshooting or changing devices.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Fingerprint
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • First Time Setup
      1. Review the info then tap
        Setup
        .
      2. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
    • Add More Fingerprints
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
      2. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint.
      3. Tap
        Done
         if finished or
        Add another
         to continue adding fingerprints.
    • Remove Fingerprint(s)
      1. Tap the
        Delete icon
         to the right of the fingerprint you want to remove.
      2. Tap
        Delete
