Resetting app data on your Pixel 7 / 7 Pro can help fix problems like crashing and freezing without having to delete the app from your device.

Before you begin

Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Apps

See all apps

Do any of the following:

To reset an individual app:

Locate then select an app.

If troubleshooting for Voicemail, tap the

Phone app

then follow the steps below. Once reset, you must activate Voicemail.

Tap

Force stop

then tap

Tap

Storage & cache

Tap

Clear storage

then tap

Delete

To reset all app preferences:

Tap the

3-dot Menu
