Set Up Phone Lock - KYOCERA DuraXV Extreme+

Here's how to set up phone lock on your DuraXV Extreme+.
The Phone Lock feature helps prevent unauthorized use of the device by disabling outbound data and making calls. The device can still receive calls and place emergency 911 calls.
  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  4. Select
    Phone settings
    .
  5. Select
    Security
    .
  6. Select
    Screen lock type
    .
  7. Select an option:
    • None
      Select
      Set
      .
    • PIN
      1. Enter a PIN then select
        OK
        .
        The PIN must be at least 4 digits long.
      2. Re-enter the PIN to confirm then select
        OK
        .
    • Password
      1. Enter a password then select
        OK
        .
        The password must be at least 4 characters long.
      2. Re-enter the password to confirm then select
        OK
        .
  8. Select
    Automatically lock
    .
    This option will be grayed out if the lock type hasn't been set.
  9. Select a time option (e.g., Immediately, 15 seconds, etc.) then select
    Set
    .
